Lawmakers are considering a plan to build up the next generation of long-term care providers by creating a trained "Care Corps."
Modeled after AmeriCorps, the program would recruit high school or college graduates to spend a year providing nonmedical care to seniors with cognitive impairment, earning a stipend and education grant for their services. Read more, from an assembly member, here.
